FAQ’s
WHY IS A FILM OF MY EVENT A GOOD IDEA ?
The main reason for getting a film is it is truly the best way to relive your day again and again. The audio during the ceremony and toasts captured by wireless lapel microphones. The imagery remembered through the lenses of professional high definition. A event film in all situations is a wonderful memento of one of the most important days of your life.
SHOULD I HAVE A FRIEND OR FAMILY SHOOT MY EVENT?
This practice is not a good idea unless the friend or family member is an experienced professional. One reason is they lack more often than not the necessary equipment to do the job properly. Second reason is because they are a friend or family member in attendance and not a hired professional. Their focus will more than likely be to enjoy the event and not to capture all the important moments. Good rule to go by is one gets what one pays for.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY FINISHED DVD?
Average delivery time for a Milestone Pro Film highlight package is 4-5months and Featurette Packages 8-10 months. Here’s the explaniation why: Milestone Pro Films creates approximately 25-30 event videos a year. Each video takes approx. 2 weeks to produce. The exact timeframe is relative to the number of commissions we accept, what time of year your event occurs and where we sit with our editing schedule. To give our clients an exact date for delivery would be impossible, which is why we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates. In order to guarantee your video will be done to our high quality standards, we place immense measures of care and creativity in the editing of your film. In order to retain our style, we do not outsource the editing at any time. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding of our timelines and our craft, before and after hiring us to film your day. If you’re looking for a quick and speedy turnaround, we may not be what you are looking for.
WHY ARE YOUR SERVICES SO EXPENSIVE?
The reason the investment seems so great is because your not just paying for someone to shoot your event and hand over the footage. It is a extensive process that only starts once the shoot day is over. To sum it up quickly it involves capturing, editing, exporting, authoring, and mastering the final DVD. In addition to the process the investment also keeps our equipment and technology current so that your video will look and sound better than video produced by a hobbyist.
